These are not in order of importance:
~ "S" hooks
~ Scissors in every drawer (and then some)
~ Very sharp pencils because some crossword puzzles are hard
~ Timers
~ Numbers on calendars to help me make decisions
(even numbers I do, odd numbers I don't)
If I think of more I will add them.

why "S" hooks? I think scotch tape should also be in every drawer. I have to have a dark ink pen for crossword puzzles.
Judy, "S" hooks are for hanging things, like bird feeders. Tape is good in every other room. You must be smart to do crosswords with a pen.
