FEARLESS by Eric Blehm

This was a very interesting book about a member of the Navy Seal Team Six, Adam Brown who was killed in Afghanistan.  He was a true hero who came through many adversities.

This was good but more of a "man's book".  I was interested in it because the author is the husband of Megyn Kelley of Fox News.  It is about all the antics that go on in businesses.

We just returned from a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine.  It was so beautiful there and the flowers so gorgeous...

Happy 11th Birthday to our grandson, Anthony (Antonino, Nino) today on June 13.  Here he is with me and then with his new pony tail.

FINDING MY PLACE by Margo L. Dill

This is a book I bought from a friend's daughter who wrote it.  It's more for young children but since it was about the civil war I thought I'd like to read it.  I enjoyed it very much and now I will give it to Rosalie to read.

CLEO, The Cat Who Mended a Family
    by Helen Brown

I just loved this book about a cat but also a very good story.  Through happiness and heartbreak, changes and new beginnings, Cleo affectionately held the family together...

Happy 9th birthday to our Sixth and final granddaughter, Rosalie...here we are with the christening dress I made for her.  Also with her new bike.....

Look at this naughty Henry.  Luckily we were out there and he just laid it on the grass and laid by it.  Henry willingly let me pick him up and put him outside so the bunny was saved...

Here is a photo from about 1924 of mine and Judy's godparents, Hilda and Ted Koch.  She lived to be 100....

The Lost Legacy of Highclere Castle by The Countess of Carnarvon

A very interesting true book about the life of Lady Almina and her husband, the 5th Earl of Carnarvon.  It takes you through World War 1 and how she turns the castle into a hospital and nurses the injured soldiers.  Her husband and his friend discover the tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut).

Sappington-Concord Historical Society

An interesting history of this area with old photos of people and houses.  Some of the houses I recognize and are still around the area.  I loved seeing the people who had the streets named after them.  It took me a couple years of reading this as I ate lunch to finally finish it.
I haven't been on here for a while since my computer gave out but I got a new one with Windows 8 on and is that hard to get used to?  In the meantime I got my other one fixed so I go back and forth between two of them now.

HOME SAFE by Elizabeth Berg

This is a story of a mother and daughter.  The mother recently widowed is beginning to depend too much on her daughter and meddling in her life.  Then the mother is shocked to discover that her husband was leading a double life.
