This was a book you couldn't wait to get to the end to see if he lived or died.  This 17 year old boy has Leukemia and all the remissions he goes through are astonishing.  Had he been diagnosed today he probably would be alive but this was back in the 70's.  Very interesting if you're interested in medical things.
