WOW WHAT A BOOK!

A few days back I finished "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese. 541 pages and each one more interesting than the last. Written by a surgeon, it had a lot of medical details in which I love. Also the main characters were identical twins boys growing up in Ethiopia and centered around a hospital with inadequate facilities. I think this book almost surpassed "Gone With the Wind" for me.
