Jennifer buried by gifts on Christmas Eve 1979. This was when the girls were all still at home and everybody gave to everybody including boyfriends. It took us a long time to get through them since we only opened one at a time.

I finished this book a few weeks ago about a young girl fresh out of college who is invited to stay at a country home to write a novel. She thought it would be a quiet place to write but it became a place of family mysteries. Also she is being wooed by two cousins. Interesting book.

Just finished this book about Mississippi in the 1960's. The story evolves around the colored maids and the white families they work for. This was during the civil rights movement so it makes for interesting reading. The first part of the book was kind of slow but the last half made it a very good book.
